WebP to JPG online
Saved an image from the web and it is WebP and will not open? Add it here and download a regular JPG. Files stay on your device.
Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF. Up to 25 files at once, 40 MB per file; up to 13 megapixels on mobile and 24 megapixels on desktop.
Why WebP does not always work
WebP is a modern web format: images in it are lighter, so browsers often save pictures that way. But some editors, messengers, print services and forms do not accept WebP.
JPG is supported by nearly every program and device. If a service says “invalid file format”, converting to JPG usually fixes it.
How to convert photos
1. Add your photos
Drop files into the window or pick them on your device. You can process up to 25 photos at once.
2. Choose a format
JPG, PNG or WebP. Conversion starts immediately; change quality or file size in the settings and the result updates.
3. Download the result
Save each file separately or everything together as one ZIP archive.
What changes when you convert
- This tool exports a still image. Live Photo motion, depth data and HDR information are not preserved; HEIC is rendered as a standard SDR image.
- EXIF and GPS metadata from the source are not copied to the new file. Keep your original if you need capture information.
- JPG and lossy WebP can change fine details. A size target is an estimate, not a guaranteed maximum.
Frequently asked questions
Why does an image from a website save as WebP?
Many sites serve images as WebP to load pages faster. The browser saves the file in the format it received.
Is animated WebP supported?
The converter saves a single still image; animation is not carried over.
What about transparency in WebP?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white. Need a transparent background — choose PNG.
Is it free, and are my photos uploaded to a server?
The converter is free and needs no account or credits. Photos are processed in your browser on your device and are not uploaded to a server. Source EXIF and GPS metadata are not copied to the new file.
